Terms and Conditions In the simplest terms; for a fee, half of which is payable in advance, I am prepared to design a website for you. We will agree as to the details of your website before I start working. It will be your responsibility to secure a domain name and web hosting services and to provide me with the necessary user name and password as soon as possible there after. In doing so, you be relinquishing full control of your website to me. I will assist and advise. You will also be responsible for providing me with all the text, graphics, photos etc. that you wish to appear on your web pages. The advantage of having a domain name and web host in place at the start, is that it will provide a simple means of showing you the various web pages on-line. This will negate the need for you to visit me in person for final approval, hence reducing delays. The remainder of my fee, subject to any modification(s) that we previously agreed to, will be due one week after your website is up and running. At this point, my role as website designer ends. Liablilities I will not be responsible for any delays in publishing your website for lack of a domain name, web host, user name or password. This also applies to any and all documents, photos, artwork, graphics etc. that you were to provide. I will not be liable for the ultimate utility of your website. I will advise you against any obvious "mistakes" that would, in my opinion, degrade your website. It must be understood that once your website is published and tested, the technical functionality, that is, the fact that it functions as an internet accessible website or not, is the sole responsibility of your web hosting company. If your new website (which worked just fine) does not (now) "come up", it is not the "fault" of the files that constitute your website. It is more likely that the server is down and should be back on-line in a reasonable amount of time. Consult your web hosts site for details of outages. Webmaster A webmaster is a person, with sufficient knowledge, who shall, for a fee, perform routine and non-routine maintenance and assist you with problems relating to your website after it has been published. Examples would include, changing the values on your "fees" page, adding a page, revising a page, adding a temporary "news item" etc. You may or may not need the services of a webmaster immediately. You may contract for the services of a webmaster on a yearly basis or strictly on a per need basis. You are free to use any webmaster you wish. With enough knowledge, you could do some of your own maintenance. Fees are usually based on the actual work required and billed accordingly. Depending on your website, you may only need to make routine changes once or twice a year. Some websites may require hours of routine work daily! Timetable of events
